Jeff Murr of Raleigh NC joined MetLife in 2013 as a senior engineer and became manager of the application platform team in 2015. In this role, he oversaw the design, documentation, and deployment of shared and cloud application platforms, in addition to establishing short and long-term strategic goals for the team. Since 2017, he has served as director of the Container and Open-source Platform team, pursuing infrastructure solutions to help increase operational efficiency.
Mr. Murr holds a bachelor of science in computer science from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, where his studies included a research project on "Orienting to sound signals using feed-forward neural networks (AI)." During his time at UNC-W, he made Dean’s list several consecutive years and the Chancellor’s list in 2004. Earlier in his career, Mr. Murr held engineering positions with firms Fiserv and Allscripts.
Outside of work, Jeff Murr supports local charitable organizations including Junior Achievement of Eastern North Carolina and Habitat for Humanity of North Carolina.
