An experienced broker/dealer and federally registered investment advisor, Gary Teran has served for nearly 35 years at First Western Advisors in Salt Lake City, including 22 years as president and CEO. He also promotes the best interests of licensed securities representatives as founder and president of the Utah Securities Association. Over the years, Gary Teran has delivered multiple presentations on subjects such as investment and financial responsibility.
A resident of the suburb of Holladay, Gary Teran enjoys gardening, golfing, hiking, boxing, and karate. He has a long history of volunteerism through his local church and various youth organizations, including serving as a scoutmaster with the Boy Scouts of America while his children were involved in scouting. Mr. Teran has also helped raise money and public awareness for more than a dozen charities including the American Red Cross and Habitat for Humanity. He sits on the board of directors as a founding member of the charitable Frances W. Burton Foundation.
