A respected presence in the Chicago media sphere for the past three decades, Felicia Middlebrooks is writer and co-anchor of the “Morning Drive” program on CBS Radio-WBBM. From 5:00 to 10:00 a.m. each day, she anchors the news and interviews guests. A pioneering woman in a male-dominated industry, Felicia Middlebrooks has helped boost the show to a consistent number one rating throughout the years.

Ms. Middlebrooks has undertaken an array of feature assignments, including national and international reporting, throughout her time with CBS Radio. In early 2016, she was recognized for her five part series "Turning Point: Cuba in Transition” through the Edward R. Murrow Award for “Best Newscast” and “Best News Series.” This original series also earned her this year’s Associated Press First Place Award for “Best Series/Documentary.”

Since 1996, Ms. Middlebrooks has guided Saltshaker Productions, LLC, as Principal and produced a number of documentary films designed to challenge conventional thinking and expose truths that remain buried under the surface. Through Saltshaker, Felicia Middlebrooks has also hosted a number of screenwriting-focused “Hollywood Comes to Chicago”
workshops and seminars.
