Erik Andrulis served as an assistant professor at Cleveland’s Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) from 2003 to 2015. While teaching at CWRU, he received research support in excess of $1M to conduct studies into compartmentalized exosome structure/function, the mechanisms of mRNA turnover during the aging process, and the targeting of the exosome to the BRCA1 gene. Erik Andrulis’ laboratory skills range from growing tissue cell cultures and performing specific cell synchronization/sorting procedures to completing genetic screens and analyzing fluorescence-based cells/organelles.
Over the years, Erik Andrulis’ work has appeared in a number of peer-reviewed scholarly publications including Nucleic Acids Research and the Journal of Biological Chemistry. He has also delivered dozens of platform and poster presentations at academic institutions, such as the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Cleveland Clinic, and at professional gatherings, such as the Eukaryotic mRNA Processing Meeting of the Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory. Erik Andrulis was a member in the American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from 1997 to 2015.
