- Completely redesigned the primary alignment stages and access for Technip's Vertical Helix Assembly Machine (VHAM). This was a £120k design project, and I was the only dedicated design engineer throughout the entire project.
- Thorough design; always considered ease of manufacturing, lifting, transportation, installation, testing, life span, cost, maintenance and functionality.
- Completed the VHAM project from the initial concept sketches, detail design, manufacturing drawings, project planning, and installation.
- Completed all manufacturing and assembly drawings using SolidEdge.
- Maintained an ongoing design development report to communicate progress, features, limitations and design decisions.
- Responsible for all material choices, manufacturing tolerances and fabrication specifications.
- Produced hand calculations to support designs.

- Wrote all installation method statements and risk assessments.

- Designed and managed the build of an offshore portable Hydraulic Power Unit (HPU). The portable HPU replaced eight stationary HPUs that were infrequently used and expensive to maintain.
- Completed a change out procedure for an offshore crane engine. This included a site survey, work pack, lifting procedures, lifting and scaffolding drawings, testing procedure and schedule for the change out.
- Working to offshore design standards.
- Identified and presented an automation project that has gone on to save the company an estimated 3000 engineering hours per year.
- Identified an incorrect testing procedure that had been used for over 10 years.
- Feasibility study to replace three obsolete winches on an offshore crane.
- Manage and complete mechanical and hydraulic design projects from concept to installation.
- Engineering drawings using AutoCAD and SolidWorks with FEA simulation add-in.
