Dr. Charles Roman is a longtime resident of Columbus, Georgia, and the leader of Roman Medical Group. The practice consists of half a dozen physicians and 50 support staff, and Dr. Charles Roman is responsible for all aspects of operations, from patient care to the management of billing, accounting, and scheduling.
Dr. Roman completed his doctoral work at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and pursued an internal medicine residency at Allegheny University Hospitals. In the late 1990s, he served as the medical director of the Hamilton House Nursing Home Transitional Care Unit, which had 18 beds for sub-acute care rehabilitation services.
Dr. Roman subsequently practiced within Columbus Regional Healthcare System in the field of general health care. Areas of emphasis included cardiovascular disease, immunology, geriatrics, and women’s health.
Maintaining a high profile in his professional community, Dr. Roman has served as a monthly medical expert with the local NBC News affiliate for the past several years. He is a longstanding member of the American Osteopathic Association and contributes to the Boys and Girls Club of Columbus.
