Holding a bachelor's degree in police science and a master’s degree in criminal justice from John Jay College of Criminal Justice at the City University of New York, Brian Bugge is an award-winning security management and personal development professional. He began his career as an investigative aide with the U.S. Secret Service. He went on to become a New York State certified criminal investigator and licensed private investigator and a NYS/FBI certified crime prevention expert. He is also a certified police and security guard instructor. Brian Bugge investigated the plausibility of numerous conspiracy theories surrounding the assassination of President John F. Kennedy and authored The Mystique of Conspiracy: Oswald, Castro, and the CIA, which detailed his findings. The book contained a foreword by David Atlee Phillips, retired Western Hemisphere Chief of the CIA.

Brian Bugge later leveraged his expertise in crime prevention, investigations and security management as the director of the security services group at Kroll, Inc., where he performed large-scale security audits and investigations for Fortune 500 companies and government agencies. From 2003 to 2011, Mr. Bugge utilized his experience in security as the first ever national director of security and school safety for EdisonLearning, Inc.

The recipient of Newsday's first ever Civic Spirit Award, Mr. Bugge serves as the managing director of security services for IRI Global, where he assists a variety of institutions and corporations with their risk management, loss prevention, and security needs. Mr. Bugge is also a part-time criminal justice and security management professor with the University of Phoenix and a self-help motivator who shares his ideas through his website, www.provocativeideas.com.
