Barham Sabir Mahmood was born on August 18, 1988 in Sulaimaniyah, Kurdistan Region of Iraq. He received a bachelor’s degree with honours in petroleum engineering from Koya University in July, 2011 and a master’s degree in the same major from Heriot-Watt University in September, 2014. His current placement is with Koya University as a assistant lecturer in petroleum engineering department. He is interested in waterflooding, enhanced oil recovery, reservoir characterization.
The course is aligned towards the strategic, commercial and technical aspects of the Oil & Gas Industry, which primarily focuses on exploration and recovery techniques along with the production technology and new developments. The overall Master Program is designed to develop the basic understanding of Petroleum Engineering, Exploration & Development to Oil/Gas fields along with the analysis of the project and its economic viability considering its sustainable development and growth.
