About Me
A journalism student at American University in Washington, DC, Alec Christopher Schemmel served for about eight months as an editorial intern at the Daily Caller News Foundation, pitching and writing daily news stories, conducting interviews, and producing video content as part of the DCNF Video team. Alec Christopher Schemmel has also formerly worked as a communication intern at two NGO's throughout his time in Washington, The Impact Center and The Center for Mind-Body Medicine.

During two semesters of his undergraduate studies Mr. Schemmel served as a Congressional intern for two different offices. As part of his responsibilities, he lead tours of the Capitol, managed constituency correspondence, and attended relevant meetings and hearings.

In addition to his journalism major, Alec Schemmel is seeking a minor in political science, and earned a place on the Dean’s List for the School of Communication in the fall 2018 semester.

In his spare time, he plays golf, goes snowboarding, and participates in the DC Bike Ride annually. He also continues to develop his filmmaking and audio production skills outside of a work environment.
