Every stage of Adam Adler’s career reflects a steady willingness to learn, adapt, and build with intention. Now an entrepreneur and investor in Charleston, he leads The Adler Fund, a private equity group investing in sustainable development, technology, real estate, and high-growth startups. His work spans several industries but is connected by a consistent focus on long-term outcomes and practical execution.
Adam’s foundation began in competitive tennis. Growing up, he trained at the Rick Macci Tennis Academy in South Florida, where repetition, discipline, and accountability were core parts of daily training. His commitment earned him a scholarship to the University of South Carolina. While competing as a student-athlete, he completed a double major in Sports & Entertainment Management and Business and graduated with honors in 2007. The pressures of balancing athletic and academic demands helped him develop resilience, structure, and focus, skills he later applied in entrepreneurship.
His interest in building ventures emerged during his college years. While at USC, Adam co-founded Ultimate Social Networking Inc. and Ultimate College Model, the first digitally native modeling network. These early ventures exposed him to the challenges of creating digital products, engaging online communities, and adapting to rapidly changing user behavior. They also sparked his interest in understanding how technology could influence traditional industries.
After graduating, Adam entered the biotech sector. He gathered a group of molecular scientists, including several former biochemists from Merck and Amgen, to form Fuse Science. The company built a 30k sq. ft. FDA- and cGMP-certified facility in Oxnard, California, which became its headquarters and research hub. As CEO, he led the development of a nutrient delivery system using sublingual, buccal, and transdermal absorption, offering a quicker uptake method than capsules by bypassing digestion. He self-funded the company in its early stages, secured essential intellectual property, and assembled a leadership team with Fortune 25 experience. To expand visibility, he formed partnerships with well-known athletes, including Tiger Woods, Andy Murray, David Ortiz, Jose Bautista, Tyson Chandler, Paul Pierce, Andre Ward, and Paul Rodriguez. With added outreach support from Daymond John, Fuse Science grew significantly, raising its valuation from approximately $500k to more than $100M.
