A finalist for the 2016 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award, Yat-Pang Au is chief executive officer and founder of Veritas Investments in San Francisco. Since he founded the firm, it has grown into one of the largest owners and managers of multifamily property in the Bay Area. The firm also invests in urban retail and mixed-use properties. Yat-Pang Au and his team have created a vertically integrated firm that provides property management, redevelopment, leasing, financing, and investment management services, and more in one centralized location. This integrated strategy has allowed Veritas to grow from a one-building firm with six units in 2003 to an enterprise that manages more than 4,000 apartments in 200 buildings across the Bay Area.

Actively involved with his professional community, Yat-Pang Au serves on the advisory board of the Fisher Center for Real Estate and Urban Economics at his alma mater the University of California, Berkeley. He is also a member of the National Multifamily Housing Council, the Pension Real Estate Association, the Urban Land Institute, the Coalition for Better Housing, and the San Francisco Apartment Association.

Prior to founding Veritas, Yat-Pang Au worked at a number of technology firms and served as CEO of AEC Alarms.
