With board certification in emergency medicine and sports medicine, Dr. Stu Steinman of Westport, Connecticut, operates WestSports Medicine in the adjacent community of Norwalk. An alumnus of Tufts University with a bachelor of science in engineering and the Stony Brook University School of Medicine with a doctor of medicine, Dr. Stu Steinman is also a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians and founding Fellow of the American Academy of Emergency Medicine.
Before establishing WestSports Medicine in 2002, Dr. Stu Steinman held a series of attending physician positions with the emergency departments of Stamford Hospital, Maimonides Medical Center, and A.O. Fox Memorial Hospital of Oneonta, New York. A published medical writer, Dr. Steinman’s contributions in this arena include an article on athletes with hypertension that was published in the autumn 2013 issue of Connecticut SportsMed, a publication of the state’s Medical Society’s Committee on the Medical Aspects of Sports.
