Certified as a researcher by the National Institutes of Health, Shalawn Dawson serves as the lead analyst at Dawson Entities. In this position, which she has held since 2014, she helps private firms, corporations, individuals, and organizations realize various gains by providing analysis regarding the efficiency and scalability of initiatives and programs that are being undertaken. Concurrently with her role as lead analyst, Shalawn Dawson serves as research director for the firm’s philanthropy division and director of subsidiary organization Endometriosis Research and Support of the Carolinas, which is dedicated to providing information and support to those suffering from endometriosis and their families.
Shalawn Dawson holds a BS in human services from Gardner-Webb University, an MPA from Strayer University, and is currently a doctoral candidate in public policy. She is a member of the National Association of Public Administrators and the Association for Consumer Research. Prior to her current roles, she served as a social worker. Outside her professional life, she remains active in her community and regularly participates in fundraising 5K runs.
