A former resident of Belvedere, California, Michael T Jackson has lived in Florida since retiring in 2002. A master of business administration graduate, who earned his degree in finance from the University of Southern California, he also completed the advanced investment management certification program at Harvard Business School. Before leaving Belvedere, Michael T Jackson founded SFG Asset Advisors, a hedge fund management company, and Emerging Growth Management, where he served as chairman and chief executive officer.
Since moving to Florida, Mr. Jackson has stayed busy by supporting and founding a number of nonprofit organizations in fields ranging from women’s issues and human rights to health care. Mr. Jackson’s latest project is the nonprofit Napa Medical Research Foundation, which focuses on cutting-edge orthopedic regenerative medicine. A longtime supporter of medical research, he has purchased cancer radiation equipment for the University of California, San Francisco, and pediatric equipment for the California Pacific Medical Center. Additionally, Mr. Jackson partnered with the Fledgling Fund to support documentaries and films that address various social issues.
