Marty Ladwig is a drag racer based in San Antonio. He began his drag racing career shortly after graduating from high school, using his Firebird as well as a several motorcycles. He began racing at Alamo Dragway and then branched out to run race tracks all across the country. Racing motorcycles, Marty Ladwig saw his career take a significant turn in 1999 and 2000 when he won the AMA/Prostar 600 Supersport National Championships.
In 2001 Marty Ladwig began drag racing front wheel drive cars and in 2003/2004 won the NHRA Hot Rod class championships. Ladwig followed up these victories in 2005 with setting a 7.12 elapsed time while competing in Pomona, California. In Atco, New Jersey he also became the first driver hit 200 miles per hour in a front wheel drive drag car.
