A research psychologist at the University of Medicine & Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ), Mark Chae, PhD, previously served as an associate professor in the Community and Rehabilitation Counseling graduate program at the UMDNJ. In addition to his research work, Mark Chae, PhD, is the author of numerous professional articles on topics related to diversity and multiculturalism, and has also served as an editorial board member of the Journal of Applied Rehabilitation Counseling and the Journal of Multicultural Counseling and Development.

Dr. Chae holds a master of science in psychological counseling and a master of arts in applied psychology from Columbia University. He went on to earn his doctorate from the Counseling Psychology program at Seton Hall University, where he was nominated Outstanding Graduate Student by the university’s PhD faculty. He later completed a two-year post-doctoral fellowship at the Rutgers School of Biomedical and Health Sciences. Active within his local community, Dr. Chae has volunteered with the Mental Health Association in New Jersey and has presented various educational seminars to community groups.
