For nearly 20 years, Luisa De Roo has overseen the coordination of interior design and architecture projects through Luisa De Roo Interior Architecture, Inc. As its president, owner, and founder, she assists corporations and institutions with relocations, expansions, and realignments by offering a wide range of services from construction to interior finishes. Her clients have included United Airlines, Easter Seals, Commonwealth Edison, Saturn Corporation, and CNA Insurance Companies. Working out of Woodstock, Illinois, Ms. De Roo has handled assignments in more than 30 states as well as in South Africa and England.
To prepare for her career, Ms. De Roo attended the School of Architecture at University of Illinois Chicago and the Art Institute of Chicago. After earning a degree in interior architecture from the latter institution, she joined Skidmore, Owings, and Merrill as an interior architect and Architectural Interiors Inc., as a designer. This early experience enabled her to start her first business, Luisa De Roo Commercial Interiors, and to serve as a project manager and consultant for McDonald’s Corporation in designing their regional offices. She also held positions with CNA Insurance Companies and Jones Lang LaSalle before starting her current firm. Since that period, she has finished the project management certificate program at Loyola University in Chicago and graduated from the Chicago Management Institute at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
