An award-winning veteran of the television industry, Lianne McNally has written, produced and directed a wide variety of work for cable and broadcast. McNally is best known for her independent documentary Artists and Orphans: A True Drama, which was honored with an Academy Award nomination for Best Documentary Short Subject in 2002.
Lianne McNally served as series producer for The Best of Us, CBS News Productions’ good news magazine show, for two years. Earlier in her career, Lianne McNally wrote and produced entertainment news pieces for HBO/Cinemax and Showtime. She interviewed celebrities and produced an in-flight entertainment news program for HBO that was seen on US Airways. She produced a cross-country tour of local CBS News affiliates, interviewing news directors and taping their teams in action.
An area of focus for McNally is writing and directing videos to support the work of nonprofit organizations. She has worked with SKIP of New York, New York Restoration Project and the Doe Fund, among others.
