In addition to writing in several other literary forms, Kevin Sharp is a novelist in the field of young adult literature. Based in Palo Alto, California, Kevin Sharp is perhaps best known for his book After Dakota.

Mr. Sharp’s novel begins with the loss of the title character in a plane crash. The story then describes the tragedy’s impact on three of her high school friends. It follows these characters through their grief as they prepare for life after high school. His book has won acclaim from several online literary websites.

Other literary ventures have included a short story for Fiction Attic Press, “The Place I Belong.” Mr. Sharp also wrote reviews for Bookmarks magazine, as well as a cover story about literary influences of the Mad Men television series. He also contributed an autobiographical essay, “Walking on Sunshine,” to theweeklings.com.

He has another young adult book in the works, a science fiction story. After that he plans to write a mainstream novel about his experiences as a Hollywood screenwriter.

Sharp studied that art form at the University of California Los Angeles, and also earned degrees in education at the University of Phoenix and communications and theater at San Jose State University.
