Based on the East Coast, Julius Romero administers the Undergraduate Medical Education program at Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center in Brooklyn, where he oversees a program for third- and fourth-year medical students and manages an administrative staff of 12 and a faculty of nearly 100. Julius Romero is also a higher education consultant with the MedGlobal Group and a columnist for NBA.com in the Philippines.
In addition, he is heavily involved in the community. He volunteers as an athletic director at a community and parish-based basketball program for children between the ages of 7 and 16 and will start coaching cross-country running for middle school students this fall.
An athlete himself, Julius Romero is passionate about long-distance running and completed several marathons, including the Marine Corps Marathon and the TCS New York City Marathon. Mr. Romero also enjoys biking, snowboarding, and big-game hunting. He contributes to a number of charities, such as the American Red Cross and the United Way.
