About Me
Honolulu resident Dr. Jonathan Vrban moved to Hawaii following a long career as a family practitioner in California. Over the course of more than two decades, he provided care to patients such as prescribing pain management and antibiotic regimens, wound care, laceration repair, and radiological interpretation. While Dr. Jonathan Vrban continues to serve as an associate clinical professor at the University of California, San Francisco, as well as at the Samuel Merritt College School of Nursing in Oakland, his chief passions in life are currently traveling and cooking.
Dr. Vrban’s world travels have taken him to an impressive number of countries including Italy, France, Portugal, Spain, the United Kingdom, Germany, Greece, Monaco, Switzerland, Turkey, Israel, Canada, the Caribbean, Mexico, Hong Kong, Japan, Thailand, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand and a few other smaller countries. Along the way, he has learned much about the local cuisine and enjoys recreating his favorite dishes when home in Honolulu. In particular, Vrban enjoys cooking Italian food and the Mediterranean diet in general.
Dr. Vrban enjoys what he calls "The Firemen Project". He bakes delicious desserts that most accomplished home chefs would never attempt and delivers the treats to his local fire station for the firemen to enjoy.
