John C. Littleford is the senior partner of Littleford & Associates, an educational consulting business that guides independent and international schools and other not-for-profit organizations in areas such as board governance, executive searches, strategic and financial planning, and teacher compensation and evaluation. Having received his bachelor’s in history and the Russian language and his master’s in East Asian studies, John Littleford began his career in education in the roles of both administrator and teacher of history and foreign languages. He then served as the headmaster for three highly regarded K-12 independent Schools in the United States before founding Littleford & Associates in 1992.
John C. Littleford is the author of Faculty Compensation and Motivation, which was published by Technomic Press in 1992, and Faculty Salary Systems in Independent Schools, which was published by Harvard and the National Association of Independent Schools in 1983. He has also written several articles on educational topics for publications such as Fortune Magazine, Christian Science Monitor and the New York Times.
