Dr. Henry Wright is a longtime pastor from Thomaston, Georgia who has guided the Hope of the Generations Church (previously Pleasant Valley Church) as senior pastor for decades. Having established his first church in Florida, Dr. Henry Wright sought out a safe location that would enable him to create a training center dedicated to the principles he found in the Word of God. The early humble beginnings of Pastor Wright’s church was at a small campground in middle Georgia’s Pine Mountains. As the church’s reputation grew for freeing people around the world from serious illnesses, so did the ministry and facilities.
Today, the Hope of the Generations Church and its associated ministry maintains an international presence and attracts people of faith from each continent. Dr. Wright’s flagship book, A More Excellent Way, has been translated into Afrikaans, German, Dutch, Thai, Simplified Chinese, and Spanish. Family members spanning generations take part in For My Life® and Walk Out Workshop® programs that help restore and strengthen bonds of proper communication and boundaries between parents, siblings and children. Also, Dr. Henry Wright continues to lead the research on faith-focused efforts on the spiritual causes of diverse conditions, from cancer to learning disabilities.
