Dr. Gregg Gorton

Recently named an associate clinical professor of psychiatry at Temple University's Lewis Katz School of Medicine and the associate director of an inpatient ward at Episcopal Hospital, Dr. Gregg Gorton builds on more than 29 years of experience in education. In that time, he has developed a reputation for comprehensive knowledge of clinical care as well as professional practice. An acknowledged expert in ethics and the boundaries of the doctor-patient relationship, Dr. Gregg Gorton has conducted dozens of workshops and presented many lectures nationally and internationally on this issue.

Also known for his expertise in such areas as psychotherapy and psychopharmacology, Dr. Gregg Gorton is in demand as a consultant on challenging cases. He also stands out as a distinguished fellow of the American Psychiatric Association and has earned a number of teaching awards, including the Marie A. Mignona Faculty Award for Excellence in Teaching at Temple University. A three-time recipient of the Robert Waelder Award for Excellence in Teaching at Jefferson Medical College, Dr. Gorton has twice earned recognition for his clinical expertise as a Philadelphia magazine Top Doc.
