A skilled information technology expert, Ben Pu earned a bachelor of science from Cornell University in 2009. A graduate of the computer science program, Ben Pu helped undergraduate students as a teaching assistant in networks and systems courses.
Ben Pu enjoys building PCs, reviewing hardware and new technology, and competing in data science competitions on kaggle.com. A strong advocate for data privacy and human rights, he is committed to several computer-based charities, including the Free Software Foundation, digital rights group Electronic Frontier Foundation, and Hour of Code, a one-hour online computer programming educational initiative. He also contributes to the American Civil Liberties Union and the Center for Democracy & Technology.
In his spare time, Ben Pu enjoys taking in concerts at the New England Conservatory and reading science fiction authors Greg Egan, Douglas Adams, Liu Cixin, and Isaac Asimov, among others. He stays active through biking, alpine skiing, and playing ultimate frisbee.
