Ali Mesiwala MD

A seasoned neurosurgeon with the Chaparral Medical Group in Pomona, California, Ali Mesiwala, MD, treats a wide variety of neurological and spinal conditions. Ali Mesiwala, MD, performs disk replacement procedures and offers spinal reconstruction, but is also particularly skilled in vascular abnormalities, skull base lesions, and complex brain tumors. Additionally, he maintains affiliations with several California hospitals and holds leadership positions for the neurology departments at the St. Bernardino Medical Center and the Southern California Center for Neurosciences and Spine.

He began his medical training at Johns Hopkins University in Maryland and graduated summa cum laude from the university in 1992 with a bachelor of science in biomedical engineering with an emphasis in electrical engineering. His studies continued at the University of California, San Francisco, where he obtained his doctor of medicine in 1997. Later in his educational career, he completed a residency at the University of Washington, in addition to becoming the chief resident in neurological surgery. Additionally, he also studied overseas at the International Neurosciences Institute in Germany and Atkinson Morley’s Hospital in England.
